After a very long absence, I took part in a 10k race in April and booked in for a sports massage with Emily the day after. As an exercise physiologist, I know how important recovery is as part of any training plan and set my expectations very high. A post-race massage is a great way to relax and ensure the legs recover quickly. Emily is an experienced and passionate runner herself and she draws on this knowledge to deliver a first class sports massage. I thoroughly recommend Emily as a sports massage therapist.



Emily instantly made me feel comfortable and at ease so I was able to fully benefit from my sports massage. It was great! She takes her time getting to know her clients; asking if there's any previous injuries so I knew I was receiving a professional and personal service. As an office worker I am often prone to getting back pain, and after completing my first marathon last year I also started to experience problems with my Achilles, which was mainly related to having tight calves. From the moment I arrived until the moment I left, I felt completely relaxed. Emily made me feel so welcome and at ease.

Her massage technique was excellent. She had taken the time before we started to ask if there were specific areas that I wanted to her to focus on, and throughout the massage checked that the pressure was ok.

As Emily is an experienced runner it was also the perfect opportunity to ask for her advice on my upcoming ½ marathon training plan and she even took the time to show me some stretches after my massage that would help loosen my calves.

I continued to see Emily once a week for 6 weeks and I found that each massage I had was better than the last. This shows how much she listened and remembered from my first consultation!

I completed the half marathon a couple of weeks ago and since haven’t had any problems with my Achilles. I strongly believe that having regular massages by Emily has helped with this.
